The firm is proud to announce that Joseph
Mariniello Jr., has been appointed by Palisades Park Mayor James Rotundo as
Borough Attorney for the year 2010. Mr. Mariniello fills the position after
over a decade of successful representation by his father and partner Joseph
Mariniello Sr. The firm has proudly represented the Borough of
Palisades Park in varying capacities for many of its 36 years of existences.
Mr. Mariniello Jr., looks forward to continuing that tradition under the
Rotundo administration. |

1231/2010 |
Joseph Mariniello Jr. resigned today as
Commissioner at the State Commission of Investigation after nearly eight
years of service. Mr. Mariniello's term of office ended this date and rather
than stay on as a holdover, Mr. Mariniello left the Commission. "I have had
a wonderful time working with the dedicated and professional staff at the
SCI. I am proud of my association with the agency and the work we have
done." During the time of his appointment, the SCI issued numerous
reports including ones on Gangs in Prisons, Public Employee Benefit Abuses,
and Organized Crime among many others. |

The firm is
proud to announce that Joseph R. Mariniello, Sr. has been re-appointed as Counsel
to the Fort Lee Board of Adjustment. As counsel, Mr. Mariniello will use his
vast knowledge of land use and zoning to advise the Board on the various
zoning issue which come before it. |

The State
Commission of Investigation, upon which Joseph R. Mariniello, Jr. sits on as
a Commissioner today has issued its report on Public Employee Benefit
Abuses. The report chronicles the vast amount of unique and absurd
abuses of public employment going on throughout the State. If

Firm Wins a $2,000,000.00 judgment in
Consumer Fraud Case! - This month the firm's
senior partner, Joseph R. Mariniello, Esq., tried and won an jury verdict in
a complicated matter tried under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act. The
matter involved a complicated scheme set in motion by a local realtor to
defraud local homeowners. The scheme manipulated local homeowners to borrow
equity on their homes to invest in property out of state being developed by
the realtor and her son. Mr. Mariniello proved that the actions
violated the Act and constituted a breach of contract as well, leading to a
verdict in excess of $2,000,000.00. |

successfully wins Temporary Restraining Order in Property Development
Matter! - Today a Bergen County Judge entered an Order prohibiting
the sale of property on application of the firm in a matter in which it is
alleged by the Plaintiff that the sale of property owned by a corporation to
one of its minority shareholders constitutes a breach of its fiduciary
obligation to the corporation. |

Firm successful in Breach of Fiduciary
Duty Order to Show Cause!- Today a Hudson County Superior Court
Judge ruled in favor of the Plaintiffs in a matter brought by the firm
alleging that a condominium association breached it's bylaws by failure to
declare a quorum at a unit owners meeting. The dispute revolved around a
unit owners meeting brought pursuant to the bylaws wherein the board of
directors declared that no quorum existed and therefore never counted the
votes. Judge Thomas Olivieri found that a quorum did exist and ordered the
votes to be counted. |
